Dear Friends, Supporters and Alumni,

As we are gearing up for Oakland University's first VIRTUAL Nightingale Awards, we invite you to record a brief video congratulating a Nightingale winner, runner-up or nominee or to offer your gratitude to nurses, in general. 

Videos sent will be edited together in advance and included in the Nightingale live stream on Tuesday, July 14th. 

Here are a few suggestions for producing a great video clip:

-       Keep it brief - 15 seconds or less is preferred as we want to get everyone's message in the program
-       Horizontal shots preferred. Please hold your phone long-ways when you record.
-       Avoid back-lighting: A window behind you can cause harsh lighting and make it difficult to see you.
-       Avoid using digital zoom. Instead, make sure you are close enough to your phone or laptop camera.
-       If you would like to record your video in advance and upload it to ThankView after, that is an option. There are also free photo teleprompter apps like BIGVU Teleprompter and others that can help assist you with appearing more effortless. 
-      Feel free to record multiple takes and upload them all. We would be happy to select the best option.
